Overview

Care begins with the whole picture.

Psychological care at Harmony is collaborative, practical and tailored to the person. Our psychologists work with people whose concerns may involve mental health, physical health, pain, trauma, work, relationships or several of these at once.

Where useful and with consent, psychological care can be coordinated with Harmony’s medical and exercise-physiology teams and with external treating practitioners.

Who it may help

What we offer

A considered, clearly explained pathway.

EMDR expertise at Harmony

David Batten, Harmony’s Head of Psychology and Principal Clinical Psychologist, is an experienced EMDR Therapist and has also completed training in EMDR 2.0. EMDR is offered when it is clinically appropriate and agreed within an individual treatment plan.

David participated in the EMDR demonstration featured by ABC News in March 2026, helping explain how the therapy is delivered in practice.

Specialist PTSD care

Harmony treats PTSD through a specialist, multidisciplinary approach. Depending on clinical need, care may bring together psychological treatment, specialist medical input and supported exercise or rehabilitation.

Our individualised intensive PTSD program has commenced and is accepting referrals. Treatment is tailored following suitability assessment and may include evidence-based psychological therapy, supported rehabilitation and virtual-reality technology where clinically appropriate.
